For months, the fate of the annual Lewiston-Auburn balloon festival was up in the air, after organizers for the original festival, known for years as the Great Falls Balloon Festival, canceled their event for several reasons.
However, the cities of Lewiston and Auburn worked together this summer to launch a new version, and organizers say they are happy things worked out for many reasons.
