How to make Brass cabinet knobs

This was my first real attempt with my lathe which Ive had for over a year now. I made myself a watchmakers tool box and struggled to find the right knobs at a sensible price. Then I had a brainwave (which usually means I need 3 days recovery) I decided to have a go at making my own. The end product although isnt as good as an experienced lathe workers job turned out to more than my satisfaction.
Please dont be too brutal in your comments :-)

Apologies for the poor sound quality but I couldnt work out the sound settings for my mic.

Another triumph - so simple but so effective. You reduce the problem to essentials and come up with the solution. Congratulations.

Cracking looking cabinet finished perfectly with solid brass knobs. My brothers father in law died several years ago and he asked me if I wanted the contents of the garage. I turned up expecting ladders and a general tool kit. I came away with a mini bus full of toolmakers tools, about 20 various power tools, stuff that I don’t understand what it’s purpose is. Must have about 100 screwdrivers 50 sets of pliers, metal scrapers too much to mention. Just need the room now to put it. Have a toolmakers box which is falling to bits and 1st job is to get that put back together so will look forward to your video on the box construction
