Thanks for this I had the p1807. Actuator B. I ordered 2. First I switched them cleared coded and it worked. When parts came in I changed both. No relearn, I had my foot on the brake and went through the gear position. Then I did a mild test drive for 20 mins then longer. Important to run AC and head lights.

Great job, Sadel. I thought I noticed the cluster show the mileage as 74, 000 miles? Customer probably vomited after their new transmission install didn’t resolve their issue. At least he’s learned that you’re the best in the area!

I had a similar issue with 2012 I thought the trans died but I figured out it was the shifter and inhibitor switch I replaced both and drives like new saved my 3500

Awesome video and explanation. I have a 2012 with a P17C1 code ( clutch 1 actuator error) Swapped the actuators with no luck, got a new actuator, still the same code. Replaced the TCM with one from a junkyard, both actuator don't work. Put back the original TCM, still same code.Try relearn and it's says that failed to completed. Could it be the TCM?

Great video sir. If you replace the ECM or TCM, is there any kind of programming/numbers matching that needs to take place for the new module to recognize the different engine/transmission or can you just pull one from the same year and plug it in? Thanks.

Great information and vid, where do you get the wiring diagram for the vehicles that you work on?

How many miles should you change your automatic transmission fluid. I have a 2012?

I need help with my transmission but this is what happened I was just sitting in my car and so out of no where it made a clunking noise for a second and then it sounds like something was moving in the transmission and so it won’t move in reverse and it stays in first gear but won’t shift to second but if a high enough rev it’ll kinda catch on second but seems like it won’t move but my shift indicator blinks and then it went into safe mode so I’m not sure what’s going on

Hello again. Followed your awesome troubleshooting with same results but I just don't understand why I don't have any code?? Only works in odd gears so no reverse, 2, 4&6th but it does not have any code when I pull them. The troubleshooting points to the TCM but shouldn't the ECU/M send a code if it was bad, not working correctly? Thank you.

Nice video, brother!
I have a problem with mine too. It doesn’t shift at all lol, so I need to use the Shift release every freaking time.
Already checked the brake switch and it was perfect, then I went and bought a new whole shift, installed it and the same problem.
Funniest part: after I drive at least 45 min, shift starts to work again.
Replacing the TCM would help me? Help me man, I have already lost hope lol

The used ECU need to be programed before installing on the car ? I have tried it but the car wouldn't start . Please advise 🙏

I believe I´m having the same problem with my 2018 Sportage with a D7UF1 transmission. My mechanic put in a new clutch because of juddering and got a P0921 code afterwards. Only even gears engage (R, 2, 4, 6) now. What I didn´t understand is if there are two TCMs. Is there one for clutch A (odd gears) and another for clutch B (even gears) or just a harness for each that goes to the same TCM? Also, if I install a another TCM, how do we make sure it doesn´t short again?
