Tweeter is an awesome Muscovy Duck.....who lives with several dogs and cats. They all get along . He can go through the doggy door behind the dogs to come into the house. He is always happy, wagging his tail all the time, makes me laugh.

My mom worked at this store, that was in a historic village thats this wooden structure built over a lake. Its hundreds if years old and the birds love it there. They sell bird seed and most people who go feed the birds there. My mom had to take me to work so I grew up there, with these birds. There's ducks of every kind, mallards, Canadian geese ( which were the meanies of the yard ), pigeons, chickens, roosters, the white geese I can't remember the name of, and Muscovys. 5 year old me new their name, but called them rooster ducks anyway lol. So I grew up feeding the birds and this one particular Muscovy took a liking to me. He'd follow me around like a puppy dog, even tried to follow me inside the shops, and would wait right by the door for me to come out. We had a bond and it wasn't just about food. Yea I fed him, but he literally was like a puppy dog. If the Canadian geese i would feed would get to pushy or hiss at me, he'd chase them away. I'd come and he'd hear me and come waddling over and be by side the rest of the day. The other birds only came when I had food. This guy was with me 24/7 food or no food. I Named him spike henry the third and I was heartbroken years later the day I came and he just wasn't there. He probably passed away of old age. He was my friend from 4 years old, till 12 when I came and he wasn't around anymore. We'd play fetch though he wasn't the best about bringing the ball back. I had this yellow ball that he loved that I'd chuck around with him.

We too have a pet Muscovy. She's a rescue that mama duck had abandoned while she was still in the egg. All the other eggs hatched within 24 hours, but this one didn't and only hatched 10 days later (I've put her in the incubator to give her a chance in life). I suspect our other adult female sneaked in an egg in a much later stage. Ours is called KiKi, is an entirely yellow ball of fluff and she's is growing fast. She's now 17 days old, and a fantastic companion for our elderly dog who took on the mama roll within minutes after KiKi was born. They are inseparable and do everything together. Except during the night, when KiKi goes into her own nest (by herself) under a heat bulb the entire night, but during the day they eat, drink, play and sleep together from early morning till late evening.

For everyone who's thinking about having a Muscovy as a pet: be VERY prepared to clean up behind them all day long. They are super messy, crap literally everywhere (and not a little poo), are very curious by nature (don't leave anything behind on the floor) and have a good dose of strong personality. They don't easily take a no for an answer, you need to be very determined with them. LOL These are the type of pet birds that are not suited for everyone. ;)

Cheers.

I love Tweeter so much! Muscovies are just awesome, for such humongous birds they really do move around quite daintily, don't they? Gentle giants through and through. <3

Tweeter is a cutie pie. I love watching the Muscovy ducks in the park I walk in every day. They are fun to watch.

I love the black/green color of feathers. Muscovy ducks are definitely 'muscle' ducks. Reminds me of my Italian relatives.

Tweeter is a character! I love that he's potty-trained - our male Muscovy Percy is heavily imprinted on us and pines to come indoors, but we'd have to fashion a duck diaper for him since he produces Goliath-sized duck poops! I love how quiet these birds are - they just "huff" when they want to talk. It's a bit sad, really, since Percy happily impregnated our female, and she now has 8 gorgeous big babies, but unfortunately, Percy wants nothing to do with other ducks - he's the Deadbeat Duck Dad! Keep posting Tweeter vids - I'll try and film ol' Percy too!

What a smart and handsome duck, he looks so mellow and sweet. It's great to see he has a little routine and he seems happy, you take the time to put into him. God bless you!

Aww, he's a pretty boy. I had one crippled duck that broke both legs as a baby. i raised her in the house, she slept in a box on my bed. She had the most beautiful personality. She had a bad seizure last mo and passed away. She was two days past her fourth birthday. she was a black and white Muscovy female. Yours is a little sweetheart. Love the way he gets along with the dog. my dog used to let my baby ducklings ride on his back. The drake outside still remembers the dog as a friend. Every time my dog comes out, the drake runs up to visit with him.

I love how Muscovys walk and hiss like a dinosaur, instead of normal ducks who waddle and quack. Muscovys walk like they own the place. 😎🥰

When my Scovy Lucky was hungry, he would grab the corn bag or anything that had the same sound, and shake it like crazy. I used to play with him like a dog, I'd chase him and then he would chase me. He also had 2 stuffed toy ducks, he would beat up the larger one and do the lovey dovey with the smaller one. Brought "her" into his waterbowl once to do it...had to wring her out for days! He had to have those 2 animals though because they really are social animals and Tweeter is probably getting all excited when he sees "another bird" in the stove. (Wild turkeys will see their reflection on your car or house door and ATTACK IT!) Every nite he woukd sit in my lap with his head on my shoulder and I would sing him to sleep, sometimes I would just hum. And when he was ready to lay down he'd get down and have a snack. We kept him in the garage at night and he wasn't house trained, but he would go in the same area every night. So we put down a piece of linoleum and some pee pads. He would rearrange the pads, sleep on them and poo on the linoleum! Smarty pants! I miss him so much, he was so smart and so sweet; I would never have expected a DUCK to be so wonderful, so loving and so smart!
