I met Mark Whitten (Eng VA) and i asked if this scene was hard for him to record.. he said it definitely made him incredibly emotional and you can certainly hear it. He said he was sad but had to place himself into his character and instead feel grateful as rengoku does when talking to his mom

A wise man one “ set your heart ablaze”

The way he said too, ”set your heart ablaze” and “go beyond your limits”, everything he said to the upper three demon reminded me of Might Guy from Naruto when he unleashed the final gate of death too fight Madara. How Rengoku had his heart emanating fire to his extremities was too similar to when Might Guy used his chakra to flow through his channels to unlock the final death gate towards his heart. His final fight and how he was always so charismatically upbeat and positive was also on point with how Might Guy acts as well, so I would feel amiss if I didn’t mention the similarities between Kyojuro Rengoku from Demon Slayer & Might Guy from Naruto. It has to be an homage to Guy because it was too similar to be a coincidence I think.
