Making pizza is not rocket science, but for this actual rocket scientist it is now. Benson Tsai is a former SpaceX employee who is now using his skills to launch a new venture: Stellar Pizza, a fully automated, mobile pizza delivery service. When a customer places an order on an app, an algorithm decides when to start making the pizza based on how long it will take to get to the delivery address. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

Paying your employees to eat competitor’s pizzas so you can find ways to improve?

This is so fun. He seems like a good spirited young man, and obviously intelligent. Wish him and his business all the best!

Imagine him opening 1st Pizza shop in the Mars. He totally deserves that title.

Some people may say it's over engineered, AND YES, IT IS, but I'm glad they're having fun doing what they love, while innovating along the way. Integrating algorithms into their food prep and delivery is ahead of its time.

He spaced the pepperoni evenly on the pizza. This idea could easily mushroom into something big. Hopefully one day he can launch these trucks all over the U.S.... his bright ideas will definitely take off.

As an engineer myself, I know friends who worked at SpaceX. Oh, boy. They told me you get good experience, but they also told me working at SpaceX as a long-term/permanent career is not worth it.

"Come on! Baking a pizza isn't rocket science!"

This guy: "well yes but actually no... "

One day, being a pizza parlor owner will be as prestigious as being a doctor/lawyer, engineer, or a CEO.

How bad is it in SpaceX that multiple ex-employees rather calculate how and when to make pizza than making rockets?

If I see this guy’s business, I’m definitely ordering one of his pizzas.

This is brilliant. And you know your food is in good hands with caring, intelligent people over underpaid, part-time employees who probably won’t give a damn about how good your food tastes.

This idea is not new. Zume pizza did this in 2015. Zume received a $375 million investment and failed by burning through all the cash. In my “Wonder Delivery” video I talk about it near the end.

I totally am going to invest with him on this. Pizza on demand is real and I hope he can make it competitive to Little Caesars prices.
