The capital of Tahiti is known as Papeete, and you’ll certainly be spending some time there while you’re on the island. Taking a walk through the capital can provide visitors with some unique sights, and there’s also the Papeete Market that offers tourists and locals alike plentiful amounts of unique and local food and wares.
