Dimash & Hauser in Ave Maria (Reaction)

I'm not sure what happened here but maybe they needed a better director for this music video! I'm sure they are not singing and playing live. Maybe that is why it just doesn't quite convince me. Dimash's vocals are perfect as always but what does Hauser add to this, musically?

This came about because they were both judging at Placido Domingos Virtuoso competition for young performers. The pair got on so well that they did this for a bit of fun. Of course, it's not meant to be serious, just two guys goofing it up for the camera. 😂❤ Dimash did a proper duet with Placido, which will be out on the evening of 26th January on the Virtuosos YouTube channel ❤

William, I love your grumpy reaction, and i join you from afar in that coffee. I took this video as a lighthearted advert of sorts: they're doing a cartoon send-up of themselves. The palace at Versailles-esque backdrop, their formal tuxedos (with Hauser's rakish unbuttoned shirt) and Dimash's exaggeration of his usual stage stance - all for fun. Two serious performers at the top of their game, but young enough to retain a sense of play.

Hauser posted this 2 part series on his Instagram page and has part one racked up over 11 million views. I think both of them got a lot of publicity and followers for to this performance ❤️

they are preparing for us to see them and Placido Domingo at the youth music awards later this month, the 19th I think of maybe the 29th. Not really sure. So I would not be surprised at all that it is mimed. Dimash is to sing a duet with Placido, that should be different. I didn't know Placido was still singing. Anyway, that is what this little snippet is about

The second part of the Ave Maria video was a tiny bit longer and cut out here. Hauser and Dimash hugged each other and Hauser said something like „Love you bro“. They like each other and had a lot of fun. I think they tested how the audience reacts when they collaborate. And honestly I hope they will collaborate as promised at least for 1 or 2 songs. I understand what you are talking about but that’s Hauser he almost always makes funny faces, starring at the camera and things like that. I think they complement each other quite well. Both experiment with music and have their goofy and serious side.

I think this was just a fun promo piece. Two guys having some fun. Yes, as soon as I saw it and heard it, I knew it was with a backing track, because it sounded exactly the same as when Dimash performed it with Igor with orchastra and choir with all the percussions and heartbeats. Hauser didn't really add much, agreed. He was just playing the same notes that Dimash sung. Fake or not, Dimash still sound awesome as always.

Hello William, nice to see you reacting again. I’m torn on this one. As a cellist, I have often believed that Dimash’s voice is well-aligned with the cello and Hauser is certainly easy on the eyes making the visual representation of these two very handsome men lovely to watch. I have had opportunity to play while standing, but it is less reliable (as far as intonation, tonality and sound production is concerned) than sitting, but for camera it is good to have the two on a similar level. Initially I was under the impression the tracks were just not synchronized properly (there is a very short excerpt that is definitely out of synch since Hauser is not even bowing at the same time, but this one was a bit better as it seems more complete). I suspect they both may have been playing/singing but unmiked and the track was studio dubbed afterward. Doesn’t diminish my respect for both artists but does make me focus on Hauser’s antics (a bit distracting). Still a lovely duo to my ear. Hope you have a great year! Cheers from Canada!
