Joel Klatt discussed his way too early top 10 in college football. He discusses the Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes and Alabama Crimson Tide in tier 1. Joel defended his decision to put Michigan and Ohio State above Alabama. He describes his second tier which includes the Penn State Nittany Lions, LSU Tigers, FSU Seminoles, and USC Trojans. Joel thinks that LSU will continue to get better under Brian Kelly. He has USC at No. 8 because while the offense performs well, he believes that Lincoln Riley should focus on improving the defense. His last two teams that made it in are the Tennessee Volunteers and the Washington Huskies.

If this was for the 2025 season 5 of those top ten would be big ten teams, I can’t imagine they don’t go after Washington and Oregon after adding UCLA and USC . The SEC may still be king but their days are numbered the Big Ten is coming fast !

Which teams do you think will perform well next season?

I know WA beat Oregon by 3 but I personally don’t think they’re ahead of the Ducks but I am an Oregon fan.

So these are program choices since actual teams will not be fielded until September…..Michigan elevated due to returning players .

2) Michigan (assuming Harbaugh returns, if not drop to 4)
3) Ohio State
4) Bama
5) Tennessee (Was really impressed with the way they responded after the bad South Carolina loss, they could have folded and they did not.)
6) LSU (year 2 jump for them, could very easily win it again. QB will be a strength)
7) Penn State
8) Oregon (Year 2 jump again, super high on Lanning totally not biased cause I’m a Georgia fan lol)
9) Clemson
10) Florida State
First out is USC, get a defense.

Kinda unbelievable that 3 of the top 5 teams not only come from the same conference, but the same DIVISION. The Big Ten is so lopsided it’s depressing.

Georgia's schedule isn't even a top 25 high school schedule. They should rest their starters until the playoffs to at least make the games watchable.

Sc just landed some studs on the defensive line yesterday. Specifically anthony lucas who is going to be a monster on the defensive side of the ball. Not to mentiom the big line backers we just added from both oklahoma state in mason cobb and georgia state in jamil Mohammed
