I think the rein pin cancel actually added a good bit of skill bc it can be used to bait so many different abilities like sleep in addition to adding some solid mobility that he lacked

For me part of this is introducing completely uninspired damage abilities. Bastion’s sticky grenade, Cass’ sticky grenade, Roadhog’s trap, Sombra’s damage over time cube. They all just do more damage for the sake of it, while their predecessors were much more varied and interesting.

Yea overwatch used to be a nice 6v6 team game that required team work and skill but now you just counterswap 24/7 its so annoying to be a tank player now 😢

Idk to me, it just seems like the heroes who were easy to counter were just given more options and the heroes that have easy 1 click counter anything buttons had their overall skill requirements raised.

Like before orisa stuns hog out of breather on cooldown but now in the match up you have to actually consider if this is the right time to stun or if you wait for a better time to actually confirm a kill.

Its less of a "im a wall you cant get past and im not gonna let you play the game" and more of "im a wall you cant get past but you could definetely chip away at me if you get me to mismanage my resources"

But the thing is you could have those things in ow1
Because there were 2 tanks
2 sources of bringing value to the team

That's why rein's charge didn't cancel, you charge you CHARGE, even if you die you got another tank to buy time or another tank to save you or join you
Roadhog uses vape, that's GONE and useless for 8 seconds so you have a downtime of 8 seconds while the other tank uses their cooldowns to hold or pressure space
Sigma... Yeah the sigma change is stupid

But they need to give tanks more accessibility, more survival, less consequences, more availability, less downtime

Because there's only 1 tank they have to have the util and effectiveness of 2 players
They can't have equal consequences because there isn't another tank to alternate cycles with or swap the aggro with another player to alleviate your pressure ...

I hate how Ill be fighting someone all alone in a 1v1 in the backrooms somewhere and a lucio beat from across the map is still applied to the enemy.

I totally agree! Something similar is happening in another game and it really blurs the line between skilled players and people that spam and get lucky. With old overwatch it showed who had game sense and was good at the game and who wasn't.

The philosophical dilemma with tank at least is that if you don't have more stable value then counter picking to exploit weaknesses becomes even stronger

I agree with some changes, because it gives you more control.
Reins charge is a good example, there is much much more expert plays you can make with a cancelled charge then not having one😊
