The RTX 3070, 3080, and 3090 were all just announced and according to Nvidia all three GPUs should be faster than the RTX 2080Ti. With the biggest difference being the ammount of VRAM available (8GB on the 3070, 10GB on the 3080, and 24GB on the 3090) many buyers are wondering which GPU is right for them. The sweet spot is likely going to be the 3080 20GB. My plan is to pickup a 3080 10GB on release and then sell it for an upgrade to a 3080 20GB or maybe even a Big Navi competitor if AMD shows up. The 3090 is going to be way more expensive than it's worth, not to mention extremely hard to find anytime soon.

What do you recommend me for Ultra-Wide 3440x1440 (it is below 4K like 2 or 3 mio Pixel off)
Right now I'm running an 2080 Ti, but I want upgrade, since I also have a good M2 SSD which can take advantage of the RTX IO.

Right now I have 100 HZ, but I upgrade to 144 HZ, so I try to tackle the 144 FPS with Ultra Settings (maybe reducing shadow a bit)

I plan on buying the Eve Spectrum monitor at 1440p 240hz (assuming that they actually ship and are good products), I would assume the best card would be the 3080?

The 3090, which a replacement for the Titan series card, will have a place for those that need it. Likely this is going to be people involved in 4k projects with big screens for phot editing, etc. Don't really see it as a gaming card, IMHO.

The 3080 and the 3070 are what I would focus on for gaming. Some will spend the big bucks on the 3090 for bragging rights, future proofing or to get max frames in some titles at 4k, like flight simulator, etc. Since the 1080 is still one of the top cards on Steam right now, my money is going for a 3070 that works with the power supply I own now.

Any suggestions which AIB partner 3080 card should i get? Its hard to pick model and especially because benchmarks are coming same time when aib partner cards launches. Now i have Asus Rog Strix 1080 which is very good card on overclocking, temps and noise level. Asus would be obvious choice for me but they are way more expensive than others and not so sure about Asus Tuf cards which are cheaper. 🤔 Damn its hard to pick one and EVGA cards look ugly

thinking about gettinh the rtx 3090, you think it is capable of running games on 4k max settings with rtx on ? for example metro exodus.

I’m not sure which to get. I play a lot of vr on my valve index and stream it at the same time. I also use ovr toolkit so I have 2 vr programs running at the same time while streaming on a single pc. The streams and games have become extremely laggy and unplayable. Would it be better to get the 3080 or 3090 to solve this?

I’m making the switch from x box to pc and I’m looking at the 3080ti. My only concern is that I’ll be using the LG C9 OLED. It’s 4K 120hz panel with hdmi 2.1. Am I making the right move with the 3080? I’m so lost and confused coming from console 😂
