I'm on board for camera mirrors, and even cameras at the back of trailers for safety assurance, but that fifth wheel camera seems very ill fated in any practical installation. It's good that it slides down when the king pin presses against it, but man the amount of grease and dirt and sludge that that area accumulates on any normal working truck, that camera would absolutely be unusable unless you took the time and cleaned it off very frequently. I guess if you had like plexiglass inserts that acted as lens protectors, and could just swap them out super quick and clean the gross ones off at the end of the week or something, I'm not sure. I think a rear facing camera mounted to the back of the cab at fifth wheel height would be a bit better, at least more accessible and would tell you if you're center and if you're gonna high hook it or jump the 5th wheel in a sleeper. Of course, day cabs are whatever, that's what the window is for lol. I like the continuance of ideas, but oof.

Personally, I'm eagerly anticipating the inclusion of electric trucks in the games. However, I'm aware that there's a considerable amount of work needed to ensure their proper implementation.
