I would disagree with this video a bit. I would agree to keep the largest number in a corner, but don't ever swipe in the direction opposite of that corner. For example, I always push my largest tile to the bottom row into one of the corners. Therefore I will almost never swipe up and keep all my biggest numbers in the bottom row in chronological order. So I'm basically only swiping left, right, and down. It works pretty well!
