This is how I imagine this

Frisk is trapped in her mind, Chara's in full control by this point, and it's an inner battle between Frisk and Chara over control, Frisk gets slight moments and forces herself to get hurt, Chara grows even stronger as it goes on, and eventually Frisk just...gives up.

Frisk runs out of determination, but Chara's taken it all from Frisk...
