Totally agree about Gigante. Stupod pose. Looks like he is ready for a test of strength-and nothing else. If anything, his opponent should be reaching up like that!

i only have 4 and all from series 1.. wish i had more. Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Lex Luger and Sting. I also have Rick and Scott Steiner but both are beaten too much for my liking (too much paint lost). Great videos and keep them coming :)

I know you mentioned that you enjoyed the ROH Wrestling program. They went through a hard time in the early 2000s but they're on another hot streak NWJP which has done cross promotion in ROH is quality wrestling and definitely worth the checking out.

I like to think the lightening bolt on the odd Flair reprint was a precursor for Harry Potters forehead scar, but I've had too much coffee and could be talking nonsense. I do like these figures a lot, big fan of the Dustin figure and it's details. The haircut is looking slick sir, and the beard growth will add a haircare style factor to your videos that is a must for me. I'm also after Butch Reed so I can complete Doom. Another fantastic showcase video man, always thoroughly enjoy these. Though I'm not really a Hayes fan, I do like those Freebirds figures, the poses are strange but they display nicely I think. Look forward to your next video my friend.

Amazing video as always brother. as I told you before I loved the Galoob line. I had all of series 1 but did not have these UK exclusives. I heard rumors that Diamond Stud and P.M. News was supposed to be in that series. don't know how true that is.digging the haircut bro I chopped all mine off as well lol.

After the initial confusion (That's his face.... but that's not his hair!) I really enjoyed this video. I was laughing at the fact that Big Josh and El Gigante were back to back.. I was thinking "Wow, we had one huge, solid turd, followed by 8ft. of Hershey Squirts".... I'll always remember being mesmerized by El Gigante's masterful promos, and the elegance he displayed as he gracefully glided across the ring, his technical wrestling prowess, his... Who am I kidding, he sucked. Awesome stuff, man. Oh... Lex Luger is 14' tall.... and READY TO BRAWL!!!

Maybe the UK thought Flair was a new member of Strike Force with those trunks.

just found and subscribed to your channel, great stuff man. the wcw figures were so awesome when i was a kid. i still remember going into KB toys with my mom and finding sting with the black tights and sting in neon pink, i had no clue they even existed. i still have all my old wrestling figures and slowly working on getting the collection in the package. do you remember the old red talking wcw belt? i still have mine and it still talks "this is the stinger, we're having fun now"

nope don't remember the lighting on the trunks. was he part of strike force in secret. I had the galoob wrestling ring as well sold it all ages ago. I some times miss them used to have fun matches with them specially with the freebirds vs the stiners

OH gawd the lightning crotch Flair. Agreed. these were just odd. I'm sure everyone would have been happy with Flair in any color that he wore.

Like you I didn't know about these until the age of the internet. And when I found out there was a DUstin Rhodes I flipped. I need him to team with my hasbro dusty. I will say that he is hard to stand up and that infuriates me at times.

Love the Birds. Not crazy about Garvin's squatty pose.

The figure I hated most out of the line was Ron Simmons. I agree that Elegante was an aweful figure but he wasn't know for in ring skill anyway. The the arm fused to Ron's chest annoys me to this day. Let alone the fact that they have the team in sweatpants and sneakers.

Advice on Big Josh. If you can't justify remortgaging your home to get the original ax handle there is another way. Jakks released a sledge hammer with many many figures and you can find them loose on ebay for quite cheep. Cut off the head and it makes a nice custom ax handle for an affordable rate.

And now story time. The Galoob ring. I can understand you not having it as it's quite hard to come buy in tact now days. I am lucky to have one but I had to buy 2 separate auctions to complete it. But lets go back to child hood. I got into the wrestling game and wrestling figure game a little late. Hasbro Hacksaw was my first figure (series 3 i think). I lived in a small town that had one mall that was over an hour away and I could never find the Hasbro ring. I wanted nothing more than the hasbro ring for Christmas. I did have a bootleg ring (which I talked about previously that was a based on the LJN Bendy ring). So I had put in my order to santa and my mom hoping that between the two they could sort this out and make my dreams come true. One day I was in my mom's room which was filled with Christmas gifts both wrapped and unwrapped. I wasn't the type of kid to snoop around but in plain sight was the WCW galoob ring in box. I had to look at it. I knew it existed and at this time I was a WWF purist and thought WCW was a cheep knockoff where everyone seemingly was a champion. My first feeling was disappointment. I thought My mom got it wrong again. First the boot leg ring, then this WCW thing. I did appreciate the real ring bell, the steel cage, the launching gimmicks and the hammer (which I was convinced that I really wanted to put with my Greg Valentine figure. For some reason in my kid mind it made sense that greg would carry a giant red hammer to the ring). Days later I was helping my mom wrap gifts, as I often did in anticipation of the holiday and to my surprise the ring was there in plain view. She didn't even try to hide it. She then said "You probably thought that was for you but it isn't it's for your cousin (the kid that got me into wrestling figures to begin with)." It was one of the first times in my young life that I experienced such a free flowing change of emotions: from disappointment that she got me the wrong ring that I didn't want, to relief that she didn't make a mistake and new I was a WWF fan, and then quickly back to disappointment that I wasn't going to get to have and play with the ring. It was hard to see it at my cousin house, mistreated, and mangled but was a lasting lesson in not being too quick to judge, being gracious and understanding, and grateful. As I had mentioned before, I was able to finally find the Hasbro ring when with a friend's family shopping in Ottawa Ontario Canada. And the built up longing lead to a most joyous moment, and all was right with the world.
On a side note, I remember you mentioned you were looking to restore one of your rings. This inspired me to do the same. My hasbro ring sticker was well marked up from years of play. I found a guy on ebay that sells replacements. I pulled the trigger bought them and for under 10 bucks my ring looks like new. Couldn't be happier.

Thanks for keeping the content coming. I always look forward to your videos. Some time you will have to venture to WrestleCave to do a vid on the few things you don't have that I do: galoob ring, loose green cards, etc.

Yeah the Flair lighting bolt figure always bothered, I never fathomed why they released him in an outfit her never wore, like seriously, they could have just gave him the same attire in red, green, black or whatever

Awesome video! Sorry you lost the hair vs. mask match-up, but it has a great August feel none-the-less as Vince would have said on commentary. Now all you need is a WWF Ice Cream bar to go along with it and you will be all set lol.

The Galoobs are sweet, but I am guessing they were trying to use up all of the obscure paints that they had left at the factory for those over seas deals lol. Great review.

By the way, did you ever wind up landing the Hasbro style (Mattel) Undertaker and Warrior?
