I felt that. I was a late adopter of the Wii (2010), so I couldn't convince my folks to buy a Wii U in 2012 as a 10-year-old. I grew up with the Wii U by playing it at friend's houses and Target kiosks lol. In November 2021, I finally was able to buy one myself and I love it. It is my favorite Nintendo console and is super fun to collect for. A message to everyone: The Wii U fanbase are some of the most passionate Nintendo fans. We're doing this because we want to give the love to this console that Nintendo and the general public failed to give it. We love this thing.

As bonus fact, I’ll share that the tablets are region lock 🔒. I try my American tablet on a pal Wii U and that’s how I found out . Weird but true

Tekken Tag Wii U edition is a true hidden gem. Should have been mentioned with the third party games. There are a few very quality hidden gems in the third party category too. Great vid though, my guy. Keep it up.

Thanks for the info on wii u guys. Im slowly collecting but the super rare ones are kinda outa reach for me. But I also collect for most systems so my money is spread out.

I found book of unwritten tales 2 at local game store for 25 dollars a couple months ago and i remember how insane that was to me especially since this store usually overpriced their games but I think the reason they had it so cheap was there was no listings on ebay to base it on at the time so they just put 25 dollars on it and called it a day still cant believe it

I’m so mad at myself that I didn’t pick up all the Mario Wii U remotes when I found them on sale at H‑E‑B (local grocery store). They were all on sale for $20 each. I only bought the bowser one and 2 pro controllers (also on sale). They were there for a couple weeks on sale. I wanted them but I didn’t need any more wii remotes so I decided to just stick with the bowser one. Oh well. On a side I found a black Wii U gamepad at a thrift store for $30 a couple years ago in mint condition, so I have 2 of those.

I agree with you, it's always the right time to start collecting video games. Of course there are always games out there that are out of reach but there still is a plethora of games affordable.

I have Wii party u and it came with a stand, i'm from europe so it can be that the us version didn't get it!

Speaking about the Wii Eshop it’s down right now…without Nintendo announcing the down time. As of right now there’s no official way to redownload games on the Wii Eshop.

Theres 2 third party games that you guys didnt cover that i feel are important. Batman Arkham City Armored Edition and Tekken Tag Tournament Wii U Edition. I just got a wii u and these games are top of my list along with wind waker and twilight princess. I just found out that TTT2 got delisted from the eshop and im pissed lmao bc now its expensive online. Batman isnt too expensive right now but I definitely feel like it will go up im price when the shop shuts down. Its honestly really sad seeing all these greedy scammers online hoarding all these copies of games to resell online for ridiculous prices because there are people out there (like me) who just wanna play these games but dont have that kind of money. Im a collector as well but I personally just wanna get my hands on all the games that i wanna play. I dont plan on keeping them on my shelf unopened. And knowing that the only way to play a lot of these games (or soon to be) is to pay ridiculous amounts of money even tho there are so many copies on peoples shelfs that have likely never been played and are just collecting dust makes me sad

I didn't buy devils third when I started collecting for the wii u in the beginning of 2020. I thought it was too expensive for $70 SEALED! waited a year and got it cib for 120. Freaking ridiculous

I saw in the Fall of 2021 Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition was selling for $150. Of course I didn’t know about it back then but for me I’ll just buy the revelations dlc and if they ever port it then I’ll get the up resolution version. No way I’m spending extreme oodles of money on a cart where the actual ad advantage is a $20 dlc stored on the cart. If you’re rich I can see wanting it but I would be devastated if I spent $600+ and later on the value plummeted.
