depp wanted to be a rock star before acting, Nicolas cage talked him into acting. Depp was a musician and is a musician still. Give the man credit he did excellent for not being a full time artist. He's played with big name people. Paul McCartney and many more. Do some research. I guarantee he plays better than 3/4 of the people commenting that he sucks.
