One of their absolute best songs, hands down.

When I think of RHCP, they’re one of the very few bands that come to mind where I feel they were absolutely made for each other as musicians. They all play their own way and so loose doing their own thing, yet they all play on the same page at the same time and are incredibly tight.

One of the greatest songs ever written by this band, and I don't recall it being on any of their official albums. Instead it was released on the Coneheads soundtrack. The actual hell man.

My dad is the same age as Anthony Kiedis and I turned 44 this year. Time flies.

The bass line is the most critical part of this tune.

The most 90s snare sound ever recorded

Im in my 20s and living with probable CTE, which is essentially early life Alzheimer’s caused by brain trauma. My memory, speech, ability to learn new concepts and information exchange skills are eroding away every passing season..I’m nothing like the funny sweet person I used to be..I deal with pretty terrible bouts of depression existential dread and anxiety daily.

I love to listen to this song though “I got a bad disease up from my brain is where I bleed, insanity it seems has got me by soul to squeeze”...
Try to enjoy life, where we’ll go we just don’t know

One of the most introspective and underrated songs. Beautiful and powerful bass line of Flea and the hypnotic voice of Anthony..Wow

Lyrics so simple yet so complex. For the very few that get it and to the many souls this song settles, I can only say this is simply just a beautiful peace of art. This song is gonna be playing way after we're all What a masterpiece. Much love and thank God for RHCP

That guitar intro is what rock is all about.

Something about this melody. Since I first heard it, it’s never left me.

I got a bad disease
Out from my brain is where I bleed
Insanity it seems
Has got me by my soul to squeeze
With all the love from me
With all the dyin' trees, I scream
The angels in my dream, yeah
Had turned to demons of greed, that's me
Where I go, I just don't know
I got to, got to, gotta take it slow
When I find my peace of mind
I'm gonna give ya some of my good time
Today Love smiled on me
He took away my pain, said, "Please
I'll let your ride be free
Ya gotta let it be, oh, yeah"
Where I go, I just don't know
I got to, gotta, gotta take it slow
When I find my peace of mind
I'm gonna give ya some of my good time
Yeah!
Oh, so polite indeed
Well, I got everything I need
I'll make my days a breeze
And take away my self-destruction
It's bitter baby and it's very sweet
Holy rollercoaster, but I'm on my feet
Take me to the river, let me on your shore
I'll be comin' back maybe, I'll be comin' back for more
Doo-doo dingle zing a dong bone
Ba-di ba-da ba-zumba crunga cong gone bad
I could not forget, but I will not endeavor
Simple pleasures are much better
But I won't regret it never
Where I go, I just don't know
I got to, got to, gotta take it slow
When I find my peace of mind
I'm gonna give ya some of my good time
Where I go, I just don't know
I might end up somewhere in Mexico
When I find my peace of mind
I'm gonna keep ya for the end of time

Being 21 at the time and listening to R&B all my life, this was one of the songs that introduced me to alternative rock. 💗💗💗💗💗

I was driving in town in stormy-ish weather and this came on the radio. I can't really describe the feeling well but driving in dark weather to this song is a awakening vibe. Really soothed me and gave me chills.

Still can't believe it was a b-side... One of their best, for sure.
