Well, the good news is that pip only killed the mouse out of boredom versus hunger. You can tell it is boredom versus food because he left it relatively untouched. My cat has done that before, and as long as Pipsqueak or Milquetoast do not eat the mice they kill they are not at risk for the diseases affiliated with eating mice. He's perfectly fine Stacy, he's just a hyper little boy who thought the mouse was a moving toy. Very normal behaviour for his age, definitely got a mouser that's for sure.

LOL I understand this feeling my 6 cats are hunters they kill frogs mice birds and more but once they killed a rabbit I know doesn't get much worse and disclaimer this is a bit gory once we went in are living room and are really fury cat Regina was sat on the windowsill (she is black and white her chest is mostly white)then we looked at her her hole white fury chest was dripping with blood and feathers stuck in her fur ether was even a bit of the inside of the bird on her and lucky me I had to help clean her up it was rank and once we went outside and one of our cats bourbon had a mouse in his mouth but it wasn't dead then he ran under the trampoline and held the mouse down by its tail I rushed under grabbed the mouse by its tail so I didn't get bit and scared my cat away them we looked after him for the night (we called him mr.jangles)they had chewed half his tail and his leg but we released him alive in the would far away from our blood-thirsty kitty cat 🐱 they bring all of there killings in to the living room and leave them in the middle of are carpet

Reminds me of when I was out of the country and went to an old house my family used to live in. We unrolled a rug and found a dead rat.
Who knows how long that rat was there, but the last time someone went there was like two weeks before we arrived.
And they said there was no sign of rats.



I had to sleep on that rug that night.
