Just popped a 277 with my hybrids from Klein. Wire was cut from years ago so when I used them to move it out of the box, the arc put a hole in them, but I didn’t feel a thing. Good stuff.

I went to electrical school graduated a year ago, the instructor has recommended that I follow you on YouTube..
Now I understand why..
Amazing tips :)

"Just put some super 33 on the shaft, its good for 600v per wrap, the rest is already plastic", What I was told from a guy that almost lost an eye to an arc flash from a panel he was working on live.

Idgaf how small a task, use insulated. I have a special drawer in my truck and all. Knipex is generally better for non-screwdrivers imo, but thats just me.

How much is that fancy 1000v hammer going to set me back😂🔨⚡️

All klien pliers have been used for ages on hot wires but deff a good practice to use the best possible tool.

Just wrap your normal tools with Super 33. It's UL listed for 600VAC, so wrap your screwdriver 10 times and you're good for up to 6000VAC.

Are there really electricians that are not familiar with hot work or insulated tools? Mindblowing.

Been doing electrical since i was 17, did a lot of live bus bar swap outs/live work in my young years with standard kleins. Dont know how many screwdrivers i blew up. Now use wiha insulated on live/non live, the difference is out of this world. Will never go back to standard electrical hand tools.

As somebody who likes to learn the hard way, I can confirm the accuracy of this information.

It is these simple things that makes the difference between good electricians and others

Always have your non insulated screwdrivers handy for when you are trying to jumper something like a limit switch base to test

This channel has helped me allot with troubleshooting and tips. Truly grateful I’m the future I’ll try to join your educational program. Question can one get certified thru it or that’s a different subject?

I know for a fact that Klein can take a jolt and protect you. But you wouldn't want to use them for strictly electrical

Wow I did not know this, I always thought they were all the same

But regular grip shorted out Kleins make the best "combination wire stripper stripper"! Although I guess the 1000v insulated handles don't help when the corner of your pliers are touching a grounded box when you cut that live wire and make a nice gap in the cutting edges 😆 Just make sure the short is at the bottom of that cutting edge or you can just go ahead and get used to spending $30 very often... 😂
