So awesome to have your son helping you. That pole is for the laser light. It goes on top of the press and the cable has to go inside the pole and through the middle inside of the press. I had said the same thing when I seen that pole. God bless.

You are going to LOVE that press... Holds perfect registration and is very easy to setup. I purchased one last year and love it. This year I have printed on it more than the automatic. Congrats.
