Acceleration Battle | Ford Focus vs Honda Civic | 1.0 EcoBoost vs 1.0 VTEC Turbo | BEST R3 ENGINES?

This battle is interesting. Why? Ford Focus and Honda Civic are equipped with best 1.0 litre engines ever to be built into production cars. Both engines are insanely reliable, insanely powerful and very efficient. Honestly we hate small engines in mid-sized cars, but THESE TWO ENGINES?! #EcoBoost #VTECTurbo #Acceleration

Focus way ahead at 50kmh, Focus ahead at 100kmh, yet Civic ahead at 160kmh. Civic manages to keep up in spite of 1000rpm lower redline because it has stronger in-gear pull. All gears are at least 10% shorter in the Civic, meaning 10% more torque to the wheels in every gear, an advantage in everyday driving. I found the Civic to be more comfortable to drive because of this. Unfortunately 1st gear is very low, which means the 0-50kmh time is very bad.

The funny thing is the traction control off on the focus.. also focus driver is changing the shift all the way 6, 500 6, 700rpm... So the Civic driver changing the shift like a diesel almost 5, 500 also traction control on... funny

Lol to the people who are talking about gear shifting. Lol no one is shifting i think. Its automatic. My ford focus Ecoboost SE has same engine. Its 1.0 L 3-cylinder you put it in sports and put in in gear one, from there on just rev the fuck outta it. It will change gears itself after 5800-6000 rpm. Though my car goes all the way to 7200 rpm in 1st and 2nd gear. lol and it doesn't even have much mods.

This engine is literally the best in its category that is 1.0 L 3-cylinder. And it packs a punch man. And V tech is good too. But nah. Ford all the way bro. The only other car that i liked in this category was golf GTI 1.0. And man Volkswagen is really on some other shit. Lol. If you know you know.
