Josef Blatný war ein tschechischer Komponist und Organist. Der Sohn des Chordirigenten Vojtěch Blatný studierte bei Leoš Janáček und wirkte ab 1912 als Orgellehrer in Brünn. Er komponierte eine Streichersinfonie, drei Streichquartette, Klavier- und Orgelwerke, eine Kantate, Chöre und Lieder.

Verstorben: 18. Juli 1980
Josef Blatný was a Czech composer and organist. The son of the choir conductor Vojtěch Blatný studied with Leoš Janáček and worked as an organ teacher in Brno from 1912. He composed a string symphony, three string quartets, piano and organ works, a cantata, choirs and songs.
