Psychedelic Engineering (HD video of a simulation of the Rayleigh-Taylor instability)

This little showcase video of the simulation of fluid mixing, shows the Rayleigh-Taylor instability. The red fluid on top has a slightly higher density than the blue one below. Driven by the influence of gravity, small instabilities form, that cause a slow onset of mixing between the two fluids. The video plays 3 times faster than real time.
