You know you have a problem with content consumption when you are half way watching a graphics optimization guide for a game you don't own

I've read/watched a number of these guides over the years, but none of them have been this in depth. Thank you!

I've been having graphics crashes for months that nothing has been able to fix. It looks like changing the setting to how you have them has stopped it. Thank you much!

Look at you, 100k brother. Who imagined that, right? Since BFA watching you when you had like 10 followers, I am so proud and happy for
Keep pushing, I'll be here when you hit that first 1mil.

Awesome explanation of all the settings, huge fan. I was using similar settings for the 3K1P but now with the reduction of the eye candy It's even better. Thanks for the video

Quazii, you are a treasure, my friend! Change in Valdrakken is like 30 fps and my PC is not bad in any means. GJ man!

Why don’t you have 1M+ subscribers by now? That’s ridiculous. I’m a 20 year vanilla launch week player (with several years away to raise a son) and your content is the best I’ve seen.

Your info is like dim sum on Sunday: all the good stuff straight away and no bs.

Another thing to note is: The liquid Detail settings should be on "fair". Why? Because you can detect ground effects, which are under water more clearly (like volcanic or other boss mechanics). Was super useful in dungeons like tazavesh in the murloc area with dodging volcanics ;)

Really useful content. I've played WoW on and off for over 12 years and while I've messed around with individual settings to address in game performance in the past I've never put an effort in to understand optimizing performance.

This was a great watch through from start to finish and has inspired me to review my graphics settings on all of my most commonly played games.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

Amazing Breakdown! Just updated my graphics driver and for some reason it re set my classic WoW settings. You not only helped me fix my settings for that version of WoW but also with things i didn't even know existed for retail as well thank you!

Great video <3 although what i would also recommend if possible, upgrading to a new cpu… a few weeks ago my old system had a i7 7700k which i thought would be plenty for wow… i went for the amd ryzen 7 7800x3d for comparison valdrakken fps infront of AH was 40-50 fps and now is 150-200 fps… in Raids i struggled around with 25-40 fps and now i chill around 90-130 fps depending on raid size (20-30 man raids) … especially the x3d chips help alot due to the high L3 cache… i know not the purpose of this video but a cpu/mainboard/ram upgrade could make a difference… the gpu kinda doesn’t matter much… my 980ti pushed like 400 FPS in Open world… Dungeons/ raids are 95% cpu horsepower

If you have FPS problems especially during raid encounters or big aoe pulls in m+ you may consider CPU profiling your addons and WA profiling for your weakauras. Due to how WOW engine works it utilises only small portion of your CPU so if you have older CPU or high amount of addons you may experience FPS drops or micro stutters during fights. For me worst offenders were ElvUI, vuhdo and weakauras (but its not possible to play without WA in mythic raid for example). Elvui you can disable and use more lightweight addons to customise UI, for frames use default frames or Grid2 which is way lighter than vuhdo.

Recently came across your videos, after using your UI weakaura's etc. You're probably the most underrated WoW content creator, instead of focussing on raids or PvP you actually tend to focus more on the technical side of things a lot. Which helped me a ton. Hoping you blow up more in the future, loving the content and the podcasts

Super explanation, even as a non-English speaker who has never studied English I understood everything perfectly. But unfortunately, even with these settings in the Dragonflight capital, I can't get above 50FPS. It's about time I bought a new PC.

But that's the lot I have when you work in a social-medical profession, you don't get paid well. So it'll be a while before I can play content with a better FPS again. =)

Best regards from Germany and keep up the good work, very good content you deliver!

Nice guide but something to add is that capping fps will reduce your power usage and heat output. One could argue that the extra frames might help in instanced content, but for sure it's unnecessary for outdoor content. On the other hand lowering your electricity bill might be nice. I really wish they would introduce dungeon/instance settings in addition to the raid/bg setting.

EDIT: Here is some data with my Zen3 5900x and RTX 3080 going from uncapped (~100fps) to 60fps cap reduces the power usage by 11% from 315W to 280W and when wow is inactive on the second monitor capped to 8 fps the consumption drops to 210W.

Come on, man... another great vídeo. I'm fighting right now to extract better FPS from my old machine and this vídeo gave me a better understaning of the options that I have. ✌

Great video, thanks for sharing. It's important to note that for Anti-Aliasing settings, the higher your resolution, the less you need it. So if you're playing at 4K you probably don't need Antialiasing at all. I keep mine low or off on most games at 1440p.
