A Disney Cruise Line ship rescued four people from a sinking catamaran in Bermuda on Sunday. The 50-foot catamaran, called the Serenity, was about 230 miles off the coast of Bermuda when a gasket failure in the escape hatch caused the vessel to begin taking on water.

Remind this like in the classic movie:
Swiss family robinson

Am a long time sailor, looking at the waterline and movement of the vessel I would say that this was probably a bare boat charter with an inexperienced captain. It was not taking on water rapidly and most likely repairs could have been made at sea with an experienced captain at the helm. Someone will be out half a mil or more

That Catamaran won’t actually sink. The crew must have been pretty inexperienced not to be able to fix the leaking escape hatch. Someone will salvage that boat

The Bermuda coast means close to the triangle so much could have made the course change
