hi! still going insane waiting for silksong! my mental illness knows no bounds so heres yet another hollow knight animatic. except we're bullying the pale king this time (and THK again too im so sorry). this took roughly a week and is the longest animation i've done thus far! the animation is inconsistent throughout as i oscillate between tweening and frame by frame but whateva

some notes: so i spent around 2 hours reading like all of the hollow knight lore and i still didnt really understand the timeline of events concerning the infection so this is messy/out of order story wise and some shit is straight up in PK's head (good luck discerning what). also continuing the trend of lance sentries being used as a radiance host in hollow knight animatics. why does everyone do this? idk i cant find the lore for it but its fun. i also let PK commit some murder. my characterisation of radiance is way different here because i think she'd constantly try to scare the shit out of PK to get under his skin opposed to THK where she instead just jumpscares them with sad dad flashbacks. and once again everyone is gijinka'd, dark souls fans know the inspo for PK's crown

This was already a very impressive video -- your designs and styles are to die for -- but the full genius didn't strike me until I properly looked up the lyrics. I cannot believe how heartwrenchingly perfect the song fits, especially as the radiance haunting and driving home the shame and guilt into the king and hollow's minds. Hollow strung up and crying during the "please make me your son" and radiance singing in the back "disobedient son" are going to break my heart T__T.

I dont know what was happening but my whole heart sunk and felt pain, anguish, and deep sympathy for that fallen one as I watched them fall into the darkness. It sent chills down my spine, made me feel a deep pit within my stomach. My emotional state is shaken. And I dont know how to feel about this. Its haunting. So very well done, the music and the art and the animation all flawlessly drew me in and sent me into a whirlwind of feelings. This deserves so many more likes.

I love the Randiance's design so much- All are great! But hers has gotta be my favorite. Specially the hair being like wings. And it's saying something from someone who isn't that much of a fan of ginjikas (I think thats how you spell it?)
