DJI vs FPV - Which Drone is More Cinematic?

Are DJI drones more cinematic than FPV drones?
I'm putting the DJI Mini 4 Pro up against the iFlight Nazgul Evoque V2 to find out once and for all.

Wow, both video's are excellent...but also so very different. The FPV is obviously fast, fun and exciting. But, for cinematic viewing...I would have to say I prefer the Mini 4.

I use my autel for smooth slow filming. FPV almost always just cause its more fun to fly. But faster filming. More exciting video.. even when its the bad choice its just more fun

I really love both, but if I had to choose one, most likely would go with FPV. I love the sense of speed, tense and so on. Thank you for sharing, you inspired me and I am learning a lot from your videos :)

I just started FPV after only flying DJI for a long time. I built a sub250g drone and so far i love it so much more. I don’t/can’t use it for cinematic stuff but it’s so much fun to just whip around. I think building a bigger drone like you’ve got would be cool in the future to be able to make cinematic stuff like you. However, I don’t think i’ve got the balls to fly over water yet.

DJI video is definitely more cinematic and looks like it tells a story. FPV one is dynamic but directionless; would be great to capture high intensity action sequence with it though.
In DJI one the nature was the subject, in FPV one the camera speed & acrobatics was itself the subject.

I suppose it depends on your mood. Personally, when I'm by the beach/water, I want to chill so if I have to pick one... it's the mini 4pro. But I might be biased... I have one thanks to you and a few other YTers that caused me to 'upgrade' from a Mavic 2 Pro. I don't fly enough so I should probably sell the old one.

I’m new in the drone world but I have for a long time wanted and FPV as I want the feeling of flying. For the past few days i’ve seen multiple YT videos of the new Avata 2 and the Mini 4 Pro and finally I can see what the difference between FPV and cinematic is. Thanks for a great video (I’ve seen almost all your videos today) - new sub. I think I will get the Avata 2 for the speed etc.
Just curious, is it possible to do more cinematic videos with Avata 2 (if you fly more steady and calm and/or edit in post)?

OK I have the drone bug, Proud owner of mini 4 pro and Avata 2 and although I am not an expert, I am comfortable flying in manual now. So thinking about getting a pure FPV drone. Which model do you have please Justin? Is it the Nazgul Evoque F6 V2? Is everyone like this lol, wanting more than one drone for different situations? 😊

I loved them both, the 2nd was as expected far more of a rush. LOL. My wife got sick looking at the 2nd clip. Too much motion for the sensitive ones.. ☺ 🤮 Great flying !

Thanks for sharing this great video. Both are awesome. However, iFlight FPV is far more dynamic than the DJI Mini 4 Pro. Liked and subscribed. 👍

Both drones produced great footage and which is best really depends on the purpose of the footage, I wouldn’t say one is more cinematic than the other just that they are both good but in different ways. The DJI is good for slow and stable shots whilst the FPV drone is better for more dynamic and flowing shots.

It would be very interesting to see you make a single edit combining clips from both the DJI and FPV drone, it’s something that I haven’t really seen done very much and it may let you use the best aspects of both types of flying.
