If you’ve ever wanted to crochet a top, but felt a bit intimidated, then you'll love this pattern. This simple v-neck crop top is super fun to make and perfect for the summer. If you’re not a fan of short crop tops, then you can easily modify it to make it longer and cover more of your midriff. In this video, I walk you through the process of making this top in the size extra small, but you can find the pattern for all sizes on my website, which I’ve linked to below.

Materials:
To make this crop top, you will need the following supplies:
-A Size E-4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook.
-Scissors.
-Stitch Marker.
-Yarn/tapestry Needle.

To follow the pattern, the first hdc in row 1 goes into the 4th chain and not into the 3rd. I got after several try. Now, you will get the 64 HDC as she said. Good luck.

I'm a seasoned ole school crochet artist. All was well until I got to the neck lines and arm. Got off track. Tried to compensate and I ended up scraping it! I was resistant in the first place. Much success to those who can figure it out! Thank you for your tutorial.

Would be nice if you had let us know during the decrease for the neckline and the underarm that you had dropped the slip stitches from 4 to 2

Love this top. I am doing the med size (74st) my middle marker is at 37, when I start the row for breast (sl st 4) I don, t have a space after my last 2 hdc to skip and do the last hdc.

I tried the first row several times but I couldn't get 64 hdc at the end. I will try again for the 6th time by inserting hook into the 4th chain and not into the third. Something might be wrong with your figures. I've been crocheting for a while now and first running into problems.

Love it! When you finished the panel and started on the right side to do the straps, is that the back side of the panel?

Hello! I started working on this last night and I'm now on row 5 and the piece I've made, which is supposed to be the bottom of the tank top, is curving perfectly on both sides, it looks like a smile, what am I doing wrong? I can't post a picture but maybe we could connect somewhere else and I could show you? Thank you so much in advance for your time and your videos too!

Hi! Thanks for the video. It complements the pattern very well. One question. Do you recommend to block the pieces before sewing them together?

The stitch count for the top left is off cause it’s wider than the right side. Very hard to make them identical . I redid this so many times over until I noticed it wasn’t me, it’s the pattern. But maybe follow the same stitches for the right and it might work? Idk
