Gallas playing centre half whilst wearing number 10 is always a classic

Eduardo would have been a baller if he didn’t get his leg broken like that

A movie should be made from this game.

- Eduardo Leg Break
- Theo Walcott's first league goal
- Adebayor vs Bendtner fight a few weeks prior
- Adebayor not squaring the ball to Bendtner for an open goal at 2-1 up
- Clichy costing us points
- Referee's decision on giving a penalty
- Gallas' meltdown
- Arsene Wenger's post interview

This game cost Arsenal in so many ways and was the catalyst for the next 10 years. If we win this game, we win the League.

This hurts SO much as an Arsenal fan, other fans can't realise. 2007-08 was our season but it's now remembered as Man U's double-winning season (and they deserved it)

This DEFINITELY was the day Arsenal lost the title that year, no doubt

We got done so so dirty this game, and this season as a whole. Eduardo got his leg broken and then birmingham got given a last minute pen when we got the ball, completely killed us mentally for the title race. We also got knocked out the champions league quarters with the help of some shocking referee decisions vs liverpool. Our 07/08 team was easily our best since the invincibles but had nothing to show for it
Gallas was a rubbish captain though, horrible attitude and leadership. Bullied younger players and cried on the pitch, exactly what you want from your captain

This was the beginning of the end for Arsenal being a genuine title challenger. I remember going to Arsenal games at this time so excited and adoring the football. After this, I could see it was just groundhog day season after season with the same failings not addressed; what a shame.

The things Wenger saw in his career at Arsenal, I doubt any other manager could have survive for 22 years

The best footballing Arsenal side I’ve seen.. and that’s saying something. How we didn’t win anything this season is beyond. It would then set the tone and the mentality for years to come.

Fun fact: William Gallas and Thierry Henry were born on the same day, in the same year.

How do I know this? I have the same birthday as them☺️

We've had some terrible days against Birmingham, that Carling cup final against them a couple of years after this was another horror show

I remember watching this. It genuinely felt like the exact moment when our steep decline began

I know people think otherwise, but other than this incident I loved Gallas as a captain. Real old school character. He cared and gave everything.

The emotions that existed in players is gone today for the most part. Now you see players laughing and chilling seconds after losing - classic case like David Luiz hanging out with Bernardo Silva and a few others literally seconds after the whistle blew last week (Arse v City). No sense of self-awareness or shame in becoming a mid-table team, just another day at the office!

I came back just to look at this . The pain never goes away. Our season ended that day

Eduardo's injury ruined our season. It damaged the players morale so much. Wenger couldnt do anything about it. A shame Arsenal got rid of all of their experienced players from the invincibles team

We lost the league that day, I don't think our past captains would ever behave this way, to cry and sit in the middle of the pitch after the final whistle. Horrible tackle on one of your teammates, but I think the mentality from one of the most experienced and oldest in the squad should have been one of more fight and determination.
