That Sri Lankan team was godly. Being an Indian, used to shudder against the thought of playing against that team. Mahela was my personal fav overseas player, the class, composure, grit he possessed was sensational.

The thing I want to say is that the present SL team is nowhere near that team. The legendary status is sadly no more. No notable big names and game changers to speak of.😔 Used to relish Ind vs Sl back in the day. Now it just seems as a cakewalk (for Ind) because of the sheer gulf of quality between the two sides.
No disrespect to SL but they need to rebuild!
Hope they reestablish themselves back as a cricketing superpower in the subcontinent.
Love from India. Time will heal 😊
