One of those "foods" that you tried, is only a digestive. It's a sodium bicarbonate to dissolve in water. That's not "italian snacks"!!!!

omg you have to put effervescente brioschi in a glass of water! Savoiardi are biscuits for the recipe of tiramisù... in Italy we don't eat savoiardi like this!

The seconds are called Savoiardi, of course that they seems dry: tey're not made to be eat alone, but they are the base for Tiramisù

amaretto di saronno è un liquore e gli amaretti lo richiamano come sapore per questo forse avete reagito così in ogni caso son fatti con mandorle amare per cui non è per tutti i palati, i savoiardi sono da inzuppare nel latte o come base per il tiramisù solitamente non si mangiano da soli, la limonata anche la beviamo quasi solo con il gin o con la vodka liscia :D, la citrosodina ovvero quelle cose a limone nel barattolo si prendono sciogliendole nell'acqua :D, i tarallini sono una bontà per me, non ho capito una sola parola di ciò che avete detto e penso che per voi sarà lo stesso quando leggerete questo commento :D....ciao viva l'ITALIA!

But....the jar is of bicarbonated soda....it's used (was actually 30-40 years ago) to help children and old people to dogest...and you are supposed to DILUTE IT IN WATER. It's sold in pharmacies and it's not food nor candies nor anything edible.
