'Shiny' - A Trolls Band Together Velvet Animatic (READ DESCRIPTION)

So I made this whole thing because I saw a picture of Branch with his frosted tips at the end of the movie before I saw Trolls 3. While I was watching the movie I assumed he'd get captured at some point, or when Floyd bit the dust the other brothers would give up some of their talent to bring him back. But they went with the power of love, or family, or whatever.
Then I remembered that Moana existed and thought the crab's song fit really well with Velvet's pride and Branch's struggle.

Floyd's fine btw, he's still in the air vent with Tiny Diamond.

Basically after this the movie goes on as normal where the brothers and Poppy have to go save Branch instead of the other way around. I thought it would've been a good end for JD's arc to be the one that realized that they didn't need to be perfect to be in harmony. I also liked the idea that Branch's arc would've been to see his family finally come back for him instead of him fighting to save them (which is what I think the original draft of the plot was).

When I heard about the original concept that Branch was supposed to capture, this is exactly what I imagined would happen. And I 100% agree on your thoughts on how this story direction would be so much better for JD’s and Branch’s character arcs, and it would have made things more emotional🥺

You know, if you're interested... I had another great idea for a Trolls 3 animatic... I just rewatched High School Musical 3: Senior Year, and after listening to the song, I Want it All between Sharpay and Ryan, it actually made me think of Velvet and Veneer! Like the animatic could take place when Veneer is having doubts about continuing to drain Floyd's esscence since it's slowly killing him, and Velvet sings the song to try to convince him otherwise.

So the first part of the movie remains the same long story Branch, s brother John Dory interrupted the bergen wedding to get Branch, s help in saving Floyd so him along with Poppy and Tiny Diamond went in a mission to save Floyd after finding the other two and finding out Poppy has a sister but when John Dory Bruce and Clay got into a fight again Branch walked out on them While Poppy and Tiny Diamond followed Branch to save Floyd themselves the other brozone members drove Rhonda while Branch Poppy and Tiny Diamond ran in the vents to find Floyd When Branch saw Floyd in trouble he snatched the Diamond out of Velvet, s hand and Poppy caught it and puts it in the vents but Floyd told Poppy that they didn't have Branch Poppy went back to the dressing room and hid Branch tried to fight against Velvet but she trapped him in a Diamond drained his talent and walked away. When the doors to the dressing room closed Poppy dropped to her knees in tears When John Dory Bruce and Clay arrived at the dressing room they were shocked to find Poppy looking at them with sad eyes
