Neighbors Rescue Elderly Men From Burning Sacramento Home

Hundreds of protesters gathered at Dixon City Hall to call on the city’s vice mayor to resign after he wrote a column in a local newspaper that many called homophobic. Two people helped save the lives of elderly neighbors who were inside an assisted living facility when it caught fire. The fire ignited Sunday evening at the facility on Ararat Court in Sacramento's Pocket neighborhood. Smoke from the fire grabbed the attention of Sacramento pastor Hector Gutierrez and his girlfriend Sophia Rivas.
