Zermatt, Switzerland is the home of the mighty Matterhorn. But there are more things to do in Zermatt than just visit the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise!

We spent 1 week exploring this slice of Switzerland, and here’s a breakdown of how much it cost:

–ZERMATT HOTELS–
Paying for hotels in Zermatt was the biggest expense in our budget. But there are 2 main points here:
1 | We stayed in 3 different Zermatt hotels (5-star, 4-star, and 3-star). All of them had free breakfast and 2 of them offered complimentary spa access.

–ZERMATT RESTAURANTS–
Spoiler alert: Zermatt has really, really, really good restaurants. And we don’t just mean in Zermatt village, but all over the area! From mountain huts that can only be reached by foot/skis to charming courtyards in town and everything in between. We’re big foodies, and the food in Zermatt surprised us, in the best ways!

–ZERMATT TRANSPORTATION–
Transportation was another big expense during our week in Zermatt, which included Zermatt lift tickets to Rothorn, a ride on the Gornergrat railway, plus a roundtrip on the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car.

–THINGS TO DO IN ZERMATT–
This was the smallest category of our budget, but we won't spoil it all here. We took a trip to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and the Gorner Gorge, plus enjoyed a few adventure activities.

Me and my wife have just got back from a full week backpacking the juanfrau region and have visited every single place you have covered on the videos. Your content is truly amazing and we found the lake at First, Juanfraujoch and Mannlichen just unbelievable. The walk you covered for Schynige platte and the mannlichen to kleine scheidegg walk were so easy to follow and gave us the best views, photos and videos possible. Zermatt is a stunning place - I’ve only been for a day when I was in saas Fee - we went up the Gornergrat - that’s stunning there.

Doesn’t zermatt have a pass like the Berner oberland pass?

In the list, under glacier paradise, there are separate tickets for Zermatt-Furi and Glacier Paradise roundtrip, why is it so? Isn't Zermatt-Furi covered under Glacier Paradise roundtrip?
