Compaq Presario 7000 Windows XP Home Startup

WARNING: Flickering WILL be present at the start of this video; watch out!

This is a short of me starting up my Compaq Presario 7000 computer with Windows XP Home Edition. Note that this computer has a sextuple-boot (six-boot OS) install of various Windows operating systems ranging from 98 SE to Embedded POSReady 2009 (a version of Windows XP SP3 for point of sale terminals).

Specs of this Compaq, it has an Intel Pentium III CPU clocked at 933 MHz with 640 MB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce 4 MX440 graphics card, a Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI sound card, and a combo 160 GB and 500 GB hard disk drive.

For anyone who’s wondering about how the OS is looking like this in the first place, I used a program known as Inexperience Patcher, which changes the vast majority of icons and bitmaps to their Windows 2000 counterparts, hence why the bitmaps say “Windows 2002”.

I still remember going to Circuit City with my family many times and test driving these and the 5000 series. I was like "Oh my God, Windows XP is so cool! It cannot get any better than this!" and being absolutely blown away by the beauty of XP.
