Thanks for the info - This is a the true spirit of Amateur Radio! An open source rig with the community making mods and improvement without being legally bound commercially. I have an sbitx v3 board that I have recently built into an electrical wiring box that has turned into quite the base radio. I live in an HOA with a load center that has 10 year old Eaton AFCI breakers that trip with just a hint of HF transmission. I am going to replace them soon, but I'm able to do FT8 and CW and make some international contacts with just 1.5 watts (the maximum power that will not trip the breakers) 73 W8ZLW

Great video. Would love to see an install step by step with backup of existing settings, install, hardware calibration/setup. Because... you clearly have nothing better to do! lol.

I’m curios. I have an FX-4cr on order. I’m thinking about order a second DX-4cr off on banggood or AliExpress so that I can play with the firmware on that radio and not on the BG2FX version. Would this work on the Chinese version?

I have the VR model. From what I am reading this will not work for my rig. Is that correct? If that is correct, does anyone know if Daniel will produce the firmware for the VR models? 73 N9LUC

I'm not a firmware expert, so a question...

If I download and install the latest update, I assume I won't have to run the earlier features updates?

Waiting patiently to see your install video. I'm guessing you have a life and that's why its not here yet? :)
