Recently acquired this Leslie 145 and wanted to see what it looked like inside. Has a bit more distortion than I like so was checking that out. It's connected to a (lowly) 1961 Hammond M3.

Overall, the speaker is in super nice shape!

Cool speaker. The Grateful Dead used them too.

I have one also. The upper horn driver is a Jensen V21 vintage and it can sound distorted and will easily go bad. Suggest changing it out with the newer drivers available as they have a higher RMS value, are clearer. The bass speaker is OK, or you can change it out with a Eminence bass speaker. Might need to have the amp checked out since the electronics may need to be upgraded. Then you will have a clear, great sounding Leslie.

That's mad, I never knew what was inside them, now I know. I thought it was just a big speaker or two.
