Don't know why some people complaining about Oculus Go.. This is "GearVR level" headset in just $200. You don't need to pay $800++ anymore.
Yes, it has no positional tracking, but this is only $200! Santa Cruz prototype will cost a lot more, you will see.
P.s. I personaly will buy this just to watch movies in virtual cinema. For me it's dream come true..

Facebook is really onto making everyone use their VR app. This will probably commoditize prior VRs. That means more afforable VRs soon.

The idea upgrade for Gear VR owners. Higher pixel fill, Increased FOV (similar to Rift, HTC vive), using that latest next gen lens that should provide better sweet spot and much reduced glare (god ray effect).

for 200 this seems like the first true consumer VR for the masses seems to have enough tech jammed in there to be well worth the price

We may be the test dummy's for this new technology advancements right now but believe me! By the time i get to my 80's ill be using this VR headsets to watch my 360 videos to reminisce my adolescence years with my friends and family... i may not go to the moon, but reliving your happiest moments again is such a great feeling too. :)

The one thing I want is higher resolution. It's the biggest thing keeping it from being as good as it should. The wires are a distant second to third.
