Very valid point! Last year was too much. It distracted from the job at hand. I think the players know that too. I think there is alot of pointless press and silly stuff done by the club generally. Too many interviews and video clips....protect the players and The Manager so the energy is put in the right place

His right… I think that was the pressure of Klopp leaving… the distraction… I respect why Klopp left but felt it did kinda indirectly affect the results of the games when it came to the run in… so if they have to go then they have to go… will be sad but it’s the life of a footballer!

Richard Hughes should sit down in a private meeting with Salah, Van Dijk, and Trent without agents and say let's all put our cards on the table. We are talking about the captain, vice captain and senior striker, 3 role models and major talents and for different reasons while you're different ages you are all equally valued and we don't want to be playing you off against each other. The clubs got limited funds but we are prepared to be optimistic in terms of contract length but just be realistic in terms of not wanting any of you to be seen with an outrageous contract in competition with the others.
They all love the club, Trent may have trophies in his eyes but to win them as a future captain is a whole rosier picture.
They will all be maybe more likely to stay with each other as a guaranteed colleague.
I know it's not the done thing to try to bargain without agents but Liverpool are different and the best option is to present a united front and dictate to agents rather than vice versa because the tough stance tactics are unnecessary as they're all very much in evidence as things stand.
