I used this for about 4 months. Went through 3 leaking mattress pads. It DOES work, almost too well, sometimes I woke up freezing. The controls suck totally. Refilling with water sucks, every 3 days or so. If you opt to sleep with the unit off, the pad makes you sweat even if you are cold as it is entirely unbreathable. Responsiveness of the company is atrocious to nonexistent. I just bit the bullet and bought an ooler and although it doesn’t seem to get as cold I am much happier all around.

Evaporative cooling isn’t great unless you live in a low humidity area. Possibly your home is low humidity with your central AC acting as a humidifier, but I wanted this as a way to sleep cooler in semi truck at night without idling engine.

In my opinion, it would be a lot better product to use a peltier plate to chill the water in a closed loop system. With a aquastat you could also turn on/off peltier thereby regulating temperature all night long. A little circuitry and you could even have it run a program where it got warmer as it was time for you to wake up.

Please explain what the cleaning/maintenance process is that is required every two weeks. The included instructions are not quite clear. A video showing steps to maintain the mattress pad cooler would be very helpful!
