Navisworks Course - What’s the best way to measure a model?

Being able to measure a model is very important. In Navisworks, use the review Tab which includes the measure tools.

You can measure between two points, between multiple points, along a point line (useful for measuring perimeters), You can accumulate measurements, You can measure an angle and you can measure an area. When using these tools, the cursor will change to highlight a surface, edge or vertex.

Once you've got your measurement, you can create a saved viewpoint using the convert to redline tool to keep a record of the length or area.

You can measure between objects and it is recommended to use the shortest distance command on the review Tab. This is useful for measuring head rooms or clearances.
