A pretty visual proof of this: imagine walking along the perimeter of a polygon.
As you walk from one side to the next, you turn as much as the exterieial angel.
When you walked the entire perimeter you returned to the starting point and face in the starting direction. Which means if you took all the turns, the exterior angles and sumed them, you would get a full circle, 360

Surely the Exterior Angle Sum fact is used to generate the Interior Angle Sum, not the other way round. 🤔
