Today Architectural Digest is welcomed to Nashville by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves for a tour of her beautiful, serene home. Musgraves purchased the property in 2020 during a time of significant change in her life, setting out to recalibrate the entire feel both inside and out alongside interior designer Lindsay Rhodes. “I wanted a place that felt like me,” she says, “where I could express myself without having to think about another person and what they might want. This felt like a new beginning.”

i usually hate a monochromatic house, specially when it's all white, but this one actually has personality. as someone who's followed kacey career for a very long time, i can tell she was hands on with the decorating and it wasn't solely done by a professional. you can tell all the art is actually meaningful to her.

Interior design aside, you can tell just how intelligent and well-spoken she is by how she describes everything in the home. I didn't really know much about Kacey before watching this video, but you can really appreciate her personality and authenticity here.

She has a very good eye for the meaningful art and collectables she has, the things that make a home, that sets it apart and makes it very personal. It’s refreshing to hear her interests in pottery and estate sales, finding the gems to enhance her home. The pine would probably be happier outside for most of the year, what a sculptural beauty.
