Paramore are one of the only rock bands from the 2000s that transitioned to pop and actually did a good job

Paramore seem to reinvent themselves with every album. Saw them in 2018, Hayley Williams was incredible live.

Hayley Williams and paramore is probably that rare occasion where she didn't get trapped by the record label and the industry.

Hayley Williams is one of my favorite singers of all time. Not just because of technique which she’s incredible at but also the emotion and realness she puts into it. You can tell the way she moves and dances the music flows throughout all of her

I still listen to After Laughter a lot. Despite being a hard rock/ heavy metal fan, I'm not ashamed to say it's in my top 5 favourite albums. It's just pop perfection. The previous, self titled album is also quite excellent. Very much looking forward to the new album.

Absolutely love this track. That chorus really gives me a Talking Heads feel.

I was never a fan of Paramore (emo pop punk isn't my cup of tea), but I have a lot of respect for bands that can mature and evolve instead spending their career trying to recreate the spark that made them popular. I actually quite like this.

It's so refreshing that even successful professional musicians like Justin still don't pay for YouTube

"it's boring, but, it's part of my life". Love it! A line I think I'll adopt when the need arises.

This was the perfect evolution from their last album. Refine the poppy funk down to a more gritty, punky, and punchy sound. Taylor York is one of my favorite guitarists and he brings it again on this one.

Love the dynamics in this song. Fun fact: The vocalist and chief songwriter in Turnstile directed the video. I could see the bands touring together

Check out Haley's solo stuff, as well as the story behind those two (or 3?) albums. Really different from the Paramore songs, beautiful stuff. Then you can see their influence on the new Paramore sound a bit, it's really interesting.

Now that you've done Paramore, I recommend doing a review of "How not to drown" by Chvrches featuring the legendary Robert Smith. They are another great example of a synth pop band who occasionally branch into indie/dream pop and incorporate some lush washy guitars into the mix. They self-produce all their own stuff and even design their own guitar pedals! They also worked with Paramore's Hayley Williams on another of their tunes

Never been a Paramore fan, but THIS stuff is a different animal. Love it!! Plus all the 70s look and sound...

Hayley's vocal melodies are always SO good, and her stage presence is out of this world. Her power and control are bonkers. Love this song, love this band, love their evolution. At last, Paramore Rides Again!

I really like where they're going with this. Musicians are allowed to evolve, just like we do as people, and I really respect artists who take the risk to veer away from what's expected of them and take a new path. Props to Paramore, looking forward to seeing what else they have in store!

People who wanted their old sound hate it. But this is actually really good, and shows their maturity as writers.

i've been a fan for over 12 years and with each album i adore them more, i believe this new album will be their best tbh. This Is Why's intro alone told me everything i needed to know about this new era for Paramore, it's very exciting!!

My wife has always been the bigger Paramore fan than me. I haven’t even dabbled in their music, but I really enjoy this single. Will have to go on a deep dive! Thanks for covering, Justin!
