actual Mongol here w 1500 hours in CK3, the game's medieval Mongol words sound way too anachronistic for me, the words are simple understandable, e.g. word "havsarsan zud" (adjacent/double zud) that is like 100% modern and it sounds mundane tastes like stale bread and it is an adjective for a frigging Zud it shouldn't sound mundane, instead it could be just 'havsrai zud' or something more poetic. See Guyuk khans letter to Pope Innocent IV now that's middle Mongolian.

A government type with such a strong focus on herds and cavalry warfare would be a great time to add the glorious master of the world

These nomad mechanics actually look quite in depth and a big difference to settled gameplay

Feudal rulers should be allowed to step down from the throne and pass it unto the next in line at the cost of prestige, that would be a great feature since its not impossible that something like that would happen. Doing it the stress way is no fun.

The succession stability mechanic I could see getting use in a lot of mods like in AGOT if you make your heir a girl as a Targaryen or succession becoming unstable after it’s revealed Robert’s children are not his own.

Great dev diary and, so far, i'm loving the Steppe content. Now a question if I may, I've been noticing the expansion of contracts as a mechanic, will we see something like that on China as well? And, for me, most important, in a future feudal rework? (it's getting kind a lackluster in comparision with other governments.)

Keep the great job, guys!

I'd like you guys to address game performance once the map expands. It already gets slowed down once you get to around 1250 AD on the normal map I can't imagine game performance will hold up without some special attention.

this is absolute peak, the hoi4 and vic teams need to take notes from what ck3 and stellaris are doing 🙏

So, I have been loving how this dlc looks but I really only have one critique. I feel like when you settle a nomadic realm should not be turned feudal but rather be turned tribal. It makes more sense development level wise

This makes me a bit more optimistic for the far eastern government types, like they’re not going to be just feudal, clan and administrative with a fresh coat of paint. Hopefully India will get more love soon (after Europe of course.

To be honest, most nomad should have the culture of pastoralism and horse breeding

how would the UI be for the seasons in the case of playing on the Sahel?

Is the removal of development from lifestyle trees removing the concept of development from nomadic holdings? Will all nomadic holdings have a development of 0 automatically?

There should be like a system where middle eastern kingdom can hire cheap turkic mercenaries or turkic warrior slaves like mamlukes/ghulams, where if they gain to much power they could topple the government and take controll for themselves.
➡ as happened e.g. in Iran with the Ghaznavids and afterwards the seljuqs, timurids. Likewise turkic invasions into the indian subcontinent would be interesting.

That way the game would become less stale and there would be more fluctuations in ruling dynasties. ➡ Historical dynasties gain power and take controll over their weakened counter-parts. In this way decadense would play a role, every nation has had its glory days and "bad times", but as for now in my playtroughs the same dynasties keep ruling till the end of the game.
