Oh yeah guys, I was just commenting to the wife how I love & appreciate how you 2 take on and really acknowledge & take to heart the culture of our country but also how you portray it in your videos instead of just glossing over it. Especially was heartfelt when you mentioned the life status of the river trip. Thats what New Zealand is all about & im proud of how the indigenous ppl haven't had alot of cruelty of other indigenous ppl around the world. Thats not to say it hasn't been all clear sailing but i personally would say better than others. You guys are awesome. Enjoy the visit.

Born in bred rural Nelson, and fortunate to spend all my childhood back in the 70's with 8 week holidays in these areas - beach house in Kaiteriteri beach. It is such a beautiful and amazing area to roam.
Great vid as always, just found your channel today and really enjoying the vids.

Just one hour south of Nelson is Lake Rotoiti, there are amazing bush walks right by the lake. Also check out the eels off the pier at the head of the lake!

Hi from Christchurch! That walk you did through the rock formations looked like a lot of fun. We'll have to visit that area next time we head up that way.. The blue water and golden sands of the beaches are also beautiful. Enjoyed watching your adventures. 🙂

Hello, you could go down to Westport and drive down along the west coast to Punakaki and cape foulwind then down to Greymouth and Inland to Lake Brunner and then walk along the Wild Wilderness Trail. There's lots to do on West Coast. Also visit Franz Josef Glacier

You guys would love Karamea (As far north as you can go on the west coast) You would love the beach, the limestone caves and the immersion in nature, it's a magical place.
I live in Geraldine so if you're passing through let me know and i'll buy you a coffee.

*Kia ora (hello) that bird is a WEKA & native to NZ. If going down or up the south Island also check out Hokitika as there is lots to see. Also if running low on socks they have a awesome sock place with jumpers etc etc. Maybe at some point you could set aside to do that 5 day trek.*

The thieving bird is a Weka. Wekas are extremely annoying due to their cheeky behavior such as stealing things. They are protected New Zealand native birds
