Yes, we suspect you are right when you say the lofts are stronger. But the important point is that they are able to make lofts stronger because they have increased the launch angle. That means you should still get the same flight you would expect from a traditional 8-iron...

Thanks for the review. Nice looking set but doesn't that 150 yard shot become an 8 iron instead of a 7 iron because its really a 7 iron loft? I wouldn't normally choose an iron based in trajectory it would be distance?

I'd say you had it exactly right there. The X Hot hybrids and fairway woods are bombers and hit it very long compared to other new clubs with a similar lofts and shafts, The Super S hybrids offer a little more control and forgiveness. Both are excellent ranges but it will come down to whether you are able to sacrifice a little control for added length or the other way round.

The X Hot are longer while the G25 offer slightly more forgiveness. The G25 set has a darker finish.

What are your thoughts on the Callaway x hot versus the new Adams Super S irons? I got fitted today and both of those irons performed well for me. Iron distance was about the same. Now the hybrid distance was substantially further with the Callaways. I was hitting my 3 iron hybrid 238 yards but with less accuracy than the Adams 3 hybrid. Also, the callaway hybrid seemed long like I was hitting a fairway wood. Either way, I experienced why Callaway called this HOT! Tons of distance!
