Alabama Football Rumors: Tampering Allegations, Ryan Grubb Latest + Ryan Williams, Noah Carter

Alabama Football rumors and news are surrounded with allegations of tampering with Arizona QB Noah Fifita after an article from The Athletic alleged that multiple programs reached out despite Fifita not being in the transfer portal. Both Noah Fifita’s father and The Athletic deny any report of any Alabama tampering rumors. While these tampering allegations are false, Iowa is self-reporting tampering violations in regards to former OT Kadyn Proctor. Ryan Grubb rumors have circulated that he is a candidate for the Seahawks OC job although Grubb was in Tuscaloosa on Saturday for Junior Day. Lastly, the Alabama Crimson Tide are expected to sign Ryan Williams, Noah Carter and Quinton Reese on Wednesday’s National Signing day capping off Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class.

“Thanks to some family in the coaching community, Les has relationships with college staffs across the country. Even though Noah never entered the transfer portal, programs reached out through back channels.”

“We had three for sure,” Les said. “Alabama is the only one we were really interested in outside of Arizona and staying and obviously Washington. The boys were like, ‘I don’t know if we could go to Washington.’”

Kadyn Proctor on transferring to Iowa:
“No bridges were burned,” Proctor said. “So, that’s why it was so easy for me to pick them when I did enter the transfer portal because we still have those relationships. Even after I was doing bad in the SEC and struggling, they hit me up and said ‘We’re proud of you, you’re going to get through this.’ That’s ultimately what helped me with my decision. They still believed in me.”

DeBoer needs to put a time limit on Grubb. The 2nd signing day is approaching and these recruits want to know who the OC is gonna be. He should have told Grubb you have 48 hours to commit to this job or put yourself on the market and hope Seattle calls. Bama shouldn't be handcuffed by this.

I live in Seattle and I've been closely following Ryan Grubb. The latest I heard from the Locked on Seahawks pod is the Seahawks are down to two OC candidates, Ryan Grubb and Tanner Engstrand from the Lions. Obviously Ryan has ties to the Seattle area, but the interesting candidate is Engstrand. The Seahawks second choice for head coach was Ben Johnson, the Lions OC. Hiring Engstrand gives the Seahawks some of Ben Johnson's offensive schemes to go with Mike Macdonald's defensive schemes. Best of both worlds to the Seahawks if they want to go that route.

From what we've been hearing around here is Ryan and his family likes the Seattle area, and he really wanted the Washington job. If he gets offered the OC job he will take it. Only thing that goes against Grubb is his lack of NFL experience, which Engstrand has over him. We'll see what happens in the next few days and weeks.

Obviously our UW Huskies are our squad around here but I got love for Coach Deboer and his staff. Go Dawgs! Roll Tide!
