Operational change managers coordinate and oversee all aspects of change processes happening in an organization to ensure that the transformations are carried out without disruptions. Their ultimate goal is to help organizations achieve their objectives by ensuring that they execute changes in a smooth and efficient way.

Moreover, they work with senior managers and business stakeholders to develop change management strategies that ensure the right execution of a change program for effective business transformation. Operational change managers also coordinate with other change handlers to oversee and manage activities regarding the change management plan.

They also create training programs to train the workforce for change implementation and process. Further duties of an operational change manager include monitoring and evaluating the change process, defining and measuring project success metrics, risk management, coaching and assessing the performance of teams, documenting the change process, and developing policies for the change management plan.
